Hideaway Heist

(Special Scenario)

Hideaway Heist Scenario

Haug’s Hideaway, the secret lair of the infamous bandit, Haug the Horrible, has been found. Found, in fact, by more than one warband! Warriors are eagerly looking to re-misappropriate all that Haug has purloined over the past weeks and months.

Hideaway Heist is a special scenario that can be played at any time outside of normal campaign turns and follows all the rules for such extra games.

  • A battle for the treasury (loot!) of Haug the Horrible in the center of the table.

  • Loot markers are all carried items.

  • Loot can be secured by moving it off the table via your own deployment zone.

  • The game ends when only one warband remains.

  • The warband securing the most loot wins the game.

  • Optional Victory Value: 1 (maybe 2)

  • Experience

Scenario Summation

  • Several (3 or more) Loot markers.

  • Optionally, models representing specific loot as they are discovered.

  • Appropriate terrain.

What You Need For The Game

Reward

Anything you can get from Haug’s collection of stolen goods.

The player with the most completed Haug’s Hideaway Objectives chooses to play in either urban or rural terrain. If this number is tied the warband with highest warband rating chooses or the CA will randomly determine the terrain if ratings are also tied.

In the center of the table place a large piece of terrain to be Haug’s Hideaway. Two or more levels are preferable, including obscuring elements such as walls, hedges, rubble, etc. Set up the rest of the terrain normally.

Terrain (urban or rural)

The Campaign Administrator will confirm to players the available loot for the game. You will need a number of loot markers equal to the amount of Haug’s Loot available (detailed by your campaign administrator). In order of warband rating lowest to highest, players then take turns placing loot markers anywhere on/within Haug’s Hideaway.

Haug’s Loot

Loot will always include Haug the Horrible, Haug’s Wardrobe, and Haug’s Best Booty. Added to this are any remaining loot from the Haug’s Hideaway Discovery Table #12–20 (excluding 13) that has not been previously discovered. Finally if any Dark Artefact has been Lost to the Cult during the campaign, it will have found its way into Haug’s possession and is included as loot.

All loot are carried items unless otherwise noted. Some have special rules, see the Loot Within Haug’s Hideaway lists below.

Deployment

Warbands deploy normally.

Random Fortune

No Random Fortune in this scenario.

Ranald’s Fortune: Whenever a warrior comes into base contact with an unexplored loot marker roll a D6. On a 4+ you can choose what loot you have found from what remains in the list of loot. On the result of 1–3 your opponent chooses what loot you have found from the list of loot (if there are more than 2 warbands playing this game, the player that had the previous turn makes this choice). If you have unique models to represent the loot, exchange their maker for the model.

Special Rules

Thanks Haug!: Loot which is transported off the table from your deployment zone is secured for your warband. The warrior leaving the table may not return to the battle but are not considered out of action.

Starting the Game

Determine the order of play normally.

The game ends when all but one warband routs. Secure all uncontrolled carried items. The winner of the game is the warband which secures the most loot. If this number is tied, all such warbands win!

Ending the Game

+1 Survives

+1 to the Winning Leader(s)

+1 Per Enemy Out of Action

+1 to any Hero or Henchmen Group that carries a Loot Marker off the table.

+2 to any Hero or Henchmen Group that carries Haug the Horrible  off the table.

Experience

  • Haug the Horrible, is passed out drunk and half naked. He is a heavy carried item. Securing him allows warbands to claim the bounty on his head.

  • Haug’s Wardrobe: Cathayan Silk Cloths.

  • Haug’s Best Booty: A Magic Artefact of your choice from the Mordheim Rulebook.

Loot Within Haug’s Hideaway

Possible other loot is determined by the CA. Most of the loot below remain as carried items so can use the same marker. Some can be active during the game (like the warhorse). Give the loot appropriate models if you have them.

Victory Value 1 (2 if a winner secured Haug)
